About Orlando Pagan Collective
The Orlando Pagan Collective's Statement of PurposeThe Orlando Pagan Collective. is a non-profit church, organized and incorporated under the laws of the State of Florida. OPC. was formed as a legal structure for the practice of Wicca, Paganism, and Neo-Pagan religions. These Paths are loosely based on a variety of traditions, and closely connected with the Goddess-focused religions of the ancient Indo-European and pre-Indo-European peoples. In addition to holding the eight annual Sabbat Festivals and monthly Esbat Circles, OPC. offers educational classes, networking opportunities, reduced-rate seminars and workshops for members, cultural and social activities, fund-raising events, and opportunities for community service. W.R.C.F. also maintains positive relationships with the non-Pagan community, informing the general public about our faith through media contact and public speaking. As we define it, Wicca, a.k.a. the Craft of the Wise, may be monotheistic, polytheistic, and/or a blend thereof. Wicca and Paganism are nondogmatic, nondualist, nonsexist, nonracist, magickal, holistic, and ecologically oriented. OPC. is dedicated to the preservation of Mother Earth, the full achievement of the potential inherent in all beings, the revival of the worship of the Old Ones, both Gods and Goddesses, and the creation of a world of peace, love, freedom, happiness and prosperity for all sentient beings. Membership and participation in OPC is voluntary, and we encourage all members to participate in the larger community to the best of their abilities. OPC is committed to developing an open, nurturing Pagan community, and we invite you to grow with us as we strive to expand our awareness and promote understanding of each other, and our chosen faith.
The one constant in life is change. In the past 20 years the local pagan community has changed. It is only right that our church also change to meet the new needs of this community. At the end of May 2011, paperwork was filed to begin a new chapter in the life of The Wiccan Religious Cooperative of Florida. We will now be operating under a "DBA" - Doing Business As. Names were submitted by the community, then voted upon, and the name chosen was Orlando Pagan Collective. While our name is legally still The Wiccan Religious Cooperative of Florida, Inc.our DBA has been registered with the state and IRS. The Orlando Pagan Collective reflects more accurately what we have become. The Orlando Pagan Collective Board of Directors
